Westmere Home

This concrete and steel house slides between a Norfolk and a Sydney Blue Gum, looking west towards the Waitakere Ranges.

Clad in bespoke red and grey painted steel panels, it captures sunlight through steel joinery salvaged and repaired from George Courts. The sun’s warmth is held by insulated concrete walls.

Entry through a yellow door leads to sitting area with a bespoke window seat - a cosy spot overlooking the sports fields.

Internal plywood sliding screens can be drawn to close the rooms.
